Michael E. Riley is the author of the well-received mystery novel The Long Last Out, along with two screenplays. With fifty-plus years of conducting and documenting criminal investigations in the law-enforcement sector, he has written countless short stories relating to the human condition. The diverse people and situations he has encountered throughout his career became the sources for his novels’ memorable characters and unique plots. One Wish Away is Michael’s second novel. He started writing professionally at the age of seventy, guided by one philosophy. “You’re never too old to shoot for the stars.”
